CONSCIOUSNESS / CONSCIENCIA
(It’s not what you think)
What is consciousness? Where does it come from? How does it shape who we are? For centuries, scientists, artists and philosophers have tried to understand the nature of the conscious mind. Yet the greatest mystery remains the one within ourselves.
CONSCIOUSNESS / CONSCIENCIA invites you to explore this enigma through the lens of art and science. Featuring twelve thought-provoking works by artists from around the world, the exhibition reveals surprising ways of perceiving and experiencing awareness — reminding us that our consciousness is not only what we think it is.
From interactive installations to immersive experiences, each piece opens a different doorway into the mind: its boundaries, its illusions and its possibilities. The exhibition challenges us to reflect on what it means to know, to feel and to be.
Selected from over 240 international proposals reviewed by a jury of leading scientists, the works in CONSCIOUSNESS / CONSCIENCIA expand our understanding of the self and the world around us.
Presented by Science Gallery Monterrey at Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Expedition FEMSA building, the exhibition continues the gallery’s mission to connect art, science and technology through free, participatory experiences for young people and the public alike.
